Mouses

There are several types of computer mice, differing in the principle of action. The most famous optical-mechanical, optical and Internet mouse.

The inverted version of the mouse is called a trackball. The principle of its operation is similar to the principle of the mouse, but the accuracy of pointer control is higher. The trackball ball does not roll on the surface, but is on top.

Optical mice represent the second generation of these devices. An advanced optical computer mouse contains a semiconductor laser for illumination.

Mouse types include induction mice that use a special pad and are included with the pen tablet. Some tablets incorporate a manipulator similar to a mouse with a glass crosshair, but working on a slightly different principle.

Induction mice have good accuracy and do not need to be properly oriented. The induction mouse can be wireless (the tablet on which it works is connected to the computer) and have induction power, therefore, does not require batteries, like normal wireless mice.

Another type of mouse is inertial mice. To determine the movements of the mouse on each of the axes, they contain accelerometers. Mice of this type are wireless and have a switch to turn off the motion detector, to move the mouse without affecting the cursor. Such mice have lower power consumption than optical mice, have better sensitivity, lower weight and are easier to use.
